Bogdan Tomashevskiy is a Ukrainian artist with an earthy sculptural style. These five artworks convey the forward movement of time, and the cyclical nature of the seasons. Each sculpture’s earthy colors illustrate its corresponding season, with the silvery chill of Winter, and the moss-like growth of Spring. A window is present in all of them, showing us the way into the next cycle of life. Of these works, Tomashevskiy explains:
“This series of work shows the inevitable cycle of life. As well as seasons of year are changing, the same way stages of life change each other. Spring – Birth, Summer – youth, Autumn – senility, Winter – death, final. The new spring brings new life, thus renewing the cycle.”
