Raphaëlle Martin is a German illustrator, based in Freiburg. In his series, “Love,” he creates human forms through small snippets of collage-cut body parts and large blocks of color. The lovers’ bodies flow in and out of one another. With beautiful use of negative space, Martin creates distinctions between forms, as well blurs. He portrays pleasure with curves: the arching of a back; a nose, nuzzled in the smooth neck of another; and the slender arms of a woman, pulling her lover close.
